Student creates Cefaly art project to mark perfect attendance!

For the first time in her life, 17-year-old Tylar, from Mitchell, Indiana, attended school every single day this semester! Tylar, a junior in high school, has been suffering from migraines for more than 11 years, which caused her to call out sick, miss class, and often just miss out.

Tylar had tried almost everything — anti-depressants, birth control, over the counter drugs, anti-convulsives, and all preventive prescription medications intended to treat migraines, even nerve blocks. She used to have to go to the emergency room once or twice a month. Then her neurologist suggested Cefaly. While Cefaly is intended for adults sometimes doctors make exceptions and prescribe the FDA-approved migraine prevention device to those under the age of 18.

We first reached out to Tylar about a year ago when she sent us an email about her success and attached some photos wearing her Cefaly I device (read her story here). Recently we received another email that read:

“Here is an art project I just did to thank Cefaly for everything that they have done. I am about to finish the first semester of this school year with perfect attendance for the first time in my life. Thank you guys so much and have a good Christmas, happy holidays!! 🙂 Tylar”

Last February Tylar’s mom told us she was thrilled her daughter had finally found relief. “I am very grateful for Cefaly. I call it Tylar’s ‘electronic miracle,’” said mom, Amy. “Tylar went from not wanting to leave her room to wanting to go and do things. She’s now active in fitness, she has a social life, her grades up, she doesn’t miss school as much, and she’s her thoughtful self again.”

How has Cefaly affected your life? We’d love to know. Send us an email, a drawing, or a photo to m DOT coder AT cefaly DOT us. Please include your name, contact information, and let us know where you’re located so we can set up a good time to talk.
