First Name:  Jessica

Years with Migraines: 8
Occupation: ministry

How long have you had migraines?
8 years with chronic migraine.

When do you usually get migraines?
My condition is ongoing, though it worsens with stress, lack of sleep, alcohol, caffeine, rise in body temperature

What have you tried pre-Cefaly?
Drugs: Topiramate, Nortriptyline, fluoxetine / Vision and vestibular therapy / Acupuncture / Biofeedback

What does your migraine feel like?
Daily symptoms are fatigue, dizziness, light sensitivity, eye pain. I also get episodic migraines every few months that start with visual aura for 15 minutes, moving into extreme head pain and light sensitivity for most of the day.

How did you hear about Cefaly?
From my neurologist.

What’s your Cefaly experience like?
I am so grateful! I first tried it a few years ago when I was trying to find a safe solution for pregnancy. Not only was I able to get off the daily migraine meds with Cefaly and acupuncture, but I have stayed off them. I wear the band first thing every single morning, and my morning eye pain, fuzziness is always better directly afterward. I feel relaxed, a bit like I’ve had a few sips of wine, but in a good, clear headed way. I also wear the headband at the onset of an episodic headache and it lessens the pain and duration.

What made you want to share your story?
Cefaly has no side effects, it’s safe and it’s preventative. It has helped me live a normal life again where I can manage my symptoms while raising two young children and finishing my seminary degree. Give it a try!
