Laura: Cefaly has changed my life

First Name: Laura
Age: 48
Location: Cedar Grove, NJ
Years with Migraines: 6
Occupation: Office assistant

How long have you had migraines?
I’ve had migraines since 2006 but they got worse in 2012. I had three brain tumor surgeries and after my second one in 2012 they got worse. I have post traumatic chronic migraine.

When do you usually get migraines?
I’ve identified triggers: weather, hormones, stress; mostly weather.

What have you tried pre-Cefaly?
I tried lots of ibuprofen; I didn’t really know that what I had was migraines at first.

What does your migraine feel like?
Mine is like a vice or tightness in the head and tingly. Where my tumors were it feels like stretching and I feel like I’m spinning. It feels like I’m drunk, like an off balance kind of feeling with a little nausea.

How did you hear about Cefaly?
My headache specialist told me about it.

What’s your Cefaly experience like?
I started using it right when it got the FDA approval. It really changed my life. I should honestly faithfully do it every day and I don’t because of laziness but if I start getting a migraine I use it and it takes the migraine away. It’s given me more time back.

What made you want to share your story?
I just want to help people. You talk with people who have migraines and I live 20-minutes outside NYC where there are the best doctors in the world, when you go to a doctor here they don’t all know about it and they should. It’s such a game changer. I don’t know if it’s covered by insurances yet but whatever I spent it was the best money I‘ve ever spent. The money component hasn’t bothered me because it literally changed my life. People who suffer from migraines need to know about this, it’s such a gamer changer, and people need to know more about it. You see commercials for neurotoxin injections, I wish there were Cefaly commercials on TV. It’s really changed my life.
